About Wayne:
Wayne was one of the founding directors of Thomas Guise before the firm joined forces with HCB.
He has a wealth of experience in serving the firm’s commercial clients. He is actively involved in a range of corporate work, including business sales and acquisitions, banking and finance, commercial contracts and company issues.
Examples of his wide commercial experience include the purchase of a retail park in Worcestershire and the company restructure of an engineering group in Gloucestershire.
Wayne is also a prominent figure in the care home sector and has given numerous seminars to care homeowners on the legal issues they face. His experience includes the £16m sale of a learning disabilities care home group and representing a major bank in the re-financing of a care home group.
In recent times, Wayne has developed legal services to the Chinese business community in the UK and has forged commercial links with China. He took part in a trade mission to Guangxi province in October 2012 and has since returned to see clients in Liaoning province. As a result, Wayne’s team of Chinese speaking specialists provides legal services not only to Chinese clients for inward investment, but also to UK companies looking to access markets in China.
Wayne has always emphasized the importance of understanding his clients’ businesses and visits their premises whenever possible to gain a deeper knowledge of how they work. This enables him to give practical advice and provide added value when helping clients with their legal needs.
When not at work Wayne likes to get involved in various charitable activities including taking part in the London to Paris bike ride. He is also one of the fittest members of the team enjoying various sports such as golf, skiing and running.
