    Approach 

    Sarah qualified as a teacher in 2003, and has taught in various primary schools.

    Sarah went on to work for the Parent Partnership Service in Wales for a number of years, advising and supporting families and young people with educational issues. Sarah worked closely with families to successfully negotiate and secure appropriate provision and placement. 

    In 2016, Sarah completed a postgraduate law degree and joined HCB Solicitors as a paralegal in February 2018. Sarah understands the importance of providing clear and concise advice, and has a friendly approachable manner. 


    Focus 

    Sarah has developed a wide knowledge and understanding of the Special Educational Needs legal system and other educational matters, through teaching and working with the Parent Partnership Service. 

    This has provided her with an invaluable insight, as to what challenges there are for families and young people. From this, she has gained sound judgement as to what action is required to ensure the best outcome is achieved to meet the child’s needs. 

    Sarah understands from her experience in supporting families through various difficult issues, good communication skills are paramount, ensuring families are regularly updated and informed.  

    Sarah is immensely interested and passionate in this area of law. She finds it very rewarding helping families, ensuring that Local Authorities are meeting the special educational needs of the child and the voice of the families and young person are taken into consideration.
