    Maqadas Ali (Ali) joined Thomas Guise Solicitors in September 2014 as a paralegal in the property department and started his training contract in September 2015. As part of his training, Ali gained experience in the Commercial Property, Litigation, and Corporate departments.

    Ali always had a strong interest in all aspects of property law and now is focusing his time on commercial property matters. Ali deals with a range of general commercial property matters including:

    • Buying and selling of registered and unregistered commercial property including offices, retails stores, factories, warehouses, takeaways and pubs
    • Land development including conditional contracts, promotion and option agreements
    • Landlord and tenant matters including the granting of new leases and sub-leases, lease renewals, surrender of existing leases, lease variations, licences to underlet, licences to assign and licences for alterations.
    • Property finance – mortgages, refinance and transfers of equity
    • Supporting our corporate team in the buying and selling of assets and shares

    In his spare time Ali enjoys playing a range of sports with friends, in particularly football and cricket.
