About:
Geoff has practiced as a solicitor for over 30 years and has been with Thomas Guise since its inception, heading the Disputes and Civil Litigation team.
He also has extensive experience in employment law and family law including divorce, financial settlements, and disputes including children. Geoff has also had active involvement in the employment aspects of acquisitions and disposals of businesses.
His Civil Litigation experience includes Inheritance Act claims, landlord and tenant and mortgage possession claims, personal injury claims and business and contract disputes.
On the contentious side of employment law he conducts employment tribunal claims on behalf of both employers and employees relating to unfair dismissal, contract claims, discrimination and whistleblowing.
On the non-contentious side of employment law he has dealt with Transfer of Undertakings (TUPE) requirements on the sale and purchase of businesses, drafted and advised on employment contracts and assisted with written procedures.
Education:
Geoff gained his law degree at Sheffield University and attended the College of Law for his Solicitors’ qualification course.
