    About Barry:
    Barry is a senior commercial lawyer with experience at partner level gained within a top 60 national law firm. He is cited in the Legal 500 as “practical and experienced, one to recommend”.

    Barry effectively delivers professional services across a whole spectrum of corporate work. Having once specialised in private equity, having acted for venture capitalists as well as management teams, he now focusses more on the SME market.

    He works with small to medium size clients advising and managing a multi-disciplinary team on transactional mergers, acquisitions and disposals (including cross border transactions) of private companies, company re-organisations, partnering and joint ventures.

    Other work undertaken includes: share buy-backs; auction sales; Section 110 re-structuring; directors’ duties; Companies Act 2006 matters; LLP formations.

    Publications such as the Financial Times, Independent Retailer and other journals have published various articles written by Barry. He has also written for publications such as Midlands Insider and Midlands Business News.

    He provides insightful commentary on such matters as funding structures as well as governance matters, and has also offered pragmatic solutions to businesses that have been affected by the recent economic downturn.
